What we store and why

Fair or Fleeced is an independent fantasy football trade tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Sleeper, FantasyCalc, FantasyPros, or DynastyProcess. No account is needed to check a trade; connecting a Sleeper account is optional and unlocks league-specific features.

The site sets four cookies, all first-party. There is no advertising or third-party tracking.

• fof_uid: a session cookie (httpOnly, 180 days) that links your browser to your account here. It carries no personal data itself.
• fof_voter: an anonymous key (httpOnly) so each visitor gets one vote per shared trade check.
• fof_active_league: remembers the league you last opened so menus preselect it.
• fof_shed_player: a browser-session cookie holding the player you told the ideas deck you are shopping. It disappears when you close the browser.

When you connect Sleeper, Sleeper issues a session token for your account and we store it on our server. It lets the site read your leagues, rosters, transactions, and trade blocks, and send trade offers that you confirm on the review screen. The token is never sent to your browser, never written to logs, and is deleted the moment you sign out of Sleeper in Settings. We also store the Sleeper user id and display name from that token, and the date and version of the terms you accepted when connecting (with your browser's user-agent string, so the acceptance can be evidenced). We do not store your Sleeper password, your one-time codes, or your IP address.

Syncing or previewing a league stores that league's public Sleeper data: settings, and for every team the Sleeper user id, display name, team name, record, roster, and draft picks, plus the league's completed trades. For connected accounts we also read which players leaguemates have put on their trade block, and how often each manager rosters a player across their own leagues. This is public information on Sleeper, but it describes people who may never have visited this site. Anyone who appears here can ask to have their data removed (section 9). Usernames are never shown on public pages such as the trade database or trending.

The site keeps an anonymous, permanent log of trades checked in the calculator, built in the trade builder, saved or passed in the ideas deck, reviewed, sent to Sleeper, and whether sent offers were accepted, declined, or expired, with the verdict shown at the time. It also logs player profile views, searches, target plans, and votes on shared trade checks, including for visitors who never connect an account. These records carry an opaque internal id, never your name, email, or Sleeper username, and they are deliberately not linked to your account row so they survive if you leave.

To run the site: find your team in each league, price trades, show pending offers, and send the offers you confirm. To improve it: the anonymous trade and interaction logs are used to build our own player and draft-pick values over time, so the site can stop relying on third-party value sources. Aggregated, anonymous figures (for example how often a player is acquired at a premium) may appear on public pages. We do not sell data or share it with advertisers.

Offensive player and draft-pick market values currently come from FantasyCalc's public API. Defensive (IDP) values are derived from FantasyPros consensus ranks, mapped onto the same scale and adjusted to your league's scoring and lineup. Star premiums, tight end premiums, contender scores, and championship odds are our own estimates layered on top. These are interim sources: we intend to replace them with values built from activity on this site, in stages, and this section will be updated when the source changes.

Services the site depends on: Sleeper (league data and offers), FantasyCalc and FantasyPros via DynastyProcess (values), Google Fonts (typefaces), and our hosting provider. Nothing about your trades is sent to an AI service. A rankings profile, if you create one, stores a username and a salted password hash; the password itself is never stored.

If you send feedback through the feedback button, the topic, your message, the page you were on, and your email address if you give one are stored by our hosting provider, Netlify, and emailed to us. We use them only to reply and to improve the site.

• Signing out of Sleeper in Settings deletes the stored Sleeper token immediately. Your league links and rankings stay until you ask for removal.
• Anonymous activity logs and terms-acceptance records are kept after you disconnect; they cannot be tied back to you.
• To have your account row, league links, rankings profile, or your team's data in a synced league removed, write to the address below with your Sleeper username. We respond within 30 days.
• Clearing your browser's cookies for this site ends your session here.

The site is not directed at children under 13, and connecting a Sleeper account or creating a rankings profile requires being at least 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children; contact us if you believe we have.

When this policy changes, the effective date above changes and the terms version is bumped, so connected users are asked to agree again before sending another offer. Questions and requests: info@fairorfleeced.com.
